The Michigan State football program has won four national championships recognized by the NCAA, but none since the 1960s, so one could make the argument that 2013 was the greatest season by the Spartans in recent memory.
Michigan State went 13-1 last season, defeating Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game and Stanford in the Rose Bowl. The 13 wins are the most in a single season by MSU, and the outright conference title was the first since 1987.
Today, Michigan State added a collage honoring its performance last season to its football facility.

Michigan State is expected by many to repeat that success this season. The Spartans are the clear favorite in the Big Ten and a serious contender to reach the College Football Playoff.
