Michigan has one of the most expensive staffs in college football, and could add another big name assistant under Jim Harbaugh.
After a season of struggles on offense, it wouldn’t be shocked to see some shuffling on the staff, even though offensive coordinator Tim Drevno and passing game coordinator Pep Hamilton are still on staff. Each of them makes over $1 million per year.
Even so, Harbaugh may add another prominent coach to the mix.
According to FootballScoop, Michigan is in talks with Dan Enos, a Michigan State alumnus and former head coach at Central Michigan. He had been in the mix at Tennessee, but Jeremy Pruitt has reportedly hired Colorado State offensive coordiantor Will Friend.
Sources tell us Enos recently met with Jim Harbaugh to discuss a position at Michigan and has been asked to interview for another offensive coordinator position.
Enos was offensive coordinator under Bret Bielema at Arkansas from 2015-17, leaving for the job from the head coaching spot at CMU. He was 26-36 with the Chippewas, but had three straight seasons of six or seven wins and two bowl berths in those three seasons before he left. He has served as an assistant at Cincinnati, Michigan State, and Western Michigan.
