Desmond Howard thinks Michigan has a higher chance at making the playoff than what FiveThirtyEight is saying.
ESPN’s FiveThirtyEight is giving Michigan a one-percent chance of making it into the College Football Playoff. According to its numbers, Colorado (10%) and Oklahoma (6%) have a better chance at getting in. Desmond Howard doesn’t necessarily agree.
The former Wolverine and 1991 Heisman Trophy winner let FiveThirtyEight have it on Friday’s edition of SportsCenter:
“The only way I can see Michigan making it is if Clemson and Washington both lose in the championship games they’re playing in. Other than that, there are multiple scenarios you will hear from various people, but like I said, I don’t think anyone knows. It’s a toss-up right now. But outside of that, I have absolutely no idea.
Listen, the website FiveThirtyEight said Michigan has a one-percent chance of making the College Football Playoff…and we know they got the election real wrong.”
You can catch the entire video of Howard discussing this at The Big Lead.
FiveThirtyEight did indeed give Hillary Clinton a much higher chance of winning the presidential election over Donald Trump, but they certainly weren’t the only ones that were wrong in that area.
