Michigan redshirt freshman kicker Andrew David will transfer, and it looks like his teammate broke the news.
According to an Instagram post from Michigan lineman Jon Runyan, kicker Andrew David is leaving the Wolverine program. Runyan shared a picture of the two earlier today, complete with the following caption.
Sad to see my mans P. David go, had some great memories with this two sport athletic specimen. Wish you the best at TCU on the field and in the diamond, until next time brother… #BabyLeg
While Michigan has not confirmed the news, David’s private Twitter profile includes “Texas Christian University football” in the bio.
A product of Massillon, Ohio., David signed with Michigan in 2015 after originally committing to former head coach Brady Hoke. He sat out last season after Kenny Allen won the kicking job and Blake O’Neill handled punting duties.
With Allen back this season and a number of players competing for the punting job, there was no guarantee David would see the field.
David was a three-star prospect and the No. 9 kicker in the nation coming out of high school.
