A little bit of good news for Michigan fans came today in the offseason: starting quarterback Devin Gardner is now walking without crutches again. Gardner missed this year’s Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl with a broken foot injury that he suffered in the regular season finale against Ohio State. He posted an update on his injury status to Instagram this afternoon — I think it’s safe to say that he’s happy about getting rid of the crutches:
A lil compilation of how I’m feeling right now! Visited with the doctor today and I am finally off of crutches! #TripleBlessed #AllSmiles #ThankGod
Gardner should be completely healed and ready to go when spring ball comes around, which is a great thing for the Wolverines — the offense will be looking to incorporate some new wrinkles under the newly-acquired Doug Nussmeier.
