Mike Riley is out at Nebraska, but the famously classy head coach remains in good spirits.
Hours after news came down that he is officially out as Huskers head coach, Riley took to Twitter to share a note with fans.
In it, he thanks the people in Nebraska’s program and Husker fans, and addresses his coaching future.
While Riley says he “looking forward to being a grandfather,” at 64 he is still confident in his coaching ability.

Riley had a solid run at Oregon State, and had his moments at Nebraska, so there’s a chance a smaller program could look to bring him in. The Huskers probably needed to go in another direction after a rough 2017 season, and a pretty mediocre three year stretch, though.
