The Huskers have a new coach.
On Saturday afternoon Scott Frost led UCF to an American Athletic conference title over Memphis by a final score of 62-56.
Just a few hours later Nebraska officially announced the team had signed Frost to a 7-year, $35 million deal.
Here’s how the university announced the hire.

Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos gave the following statement about hiring the former Nebraska quarterback:
“I am thrilled that Scott is returning to his alma mater to lead the Husker football program,” Moos said. “I truly believe that we have hired the premier young coach in the country and that exciting times lie ahead.”
Frost took over a winless UCF program and turned it into a conference-winning team in just two seasons. The Golden Knights will play in a New Year’s Six bowl after being the highest-ranked Group of Five team this season.
