It’s pretty typical for college football quarterbacks to train with people outside of their program during the offseason. They go back to their high schools, workout with former teammates, meet up with players they’ve come across during their careers. Most famously, many premier quarterbacks head west to work with noted gunslinger guru George Whitfield Jr.
Tommy Armstrong has been training with Brett Favre. The Nebraska quarterback recently had a workout session with the former NFL MVP and Super Bowl winning Green Bay Packers legend.

This has to be a good sight for Cornhusker fans. Armstrong was dynamic as a redshirt freshman last season, but struggled at times throwing the ball. He finished the 2013 season with 996 yards, nine touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while completing 52 percent of his passes.
