Nebraska freshman wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson Jr. was reportedly cited for marijuana possession.
Per a new report from the Omaha World Herald, Johnson Jr. was cited on “suspicion of possession of than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia” inside a Selleck Hall dorm room on campus yesterday
Johnson Jr., the son of former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, enrolled early at Nebraska in January.
Nebraska released a statement on the matter:
“Head coach Mike Riley and the athletics department are aware of the incident involving Keyshawn Johnson Jr. We will have no additional comment until we have all information regarding this matter.”
Johnson was a coveted three-star recruit out of Mission Viejo (Calif.) Calabasas High School.
He is expected to contribute to the Huskers early on.
