The first AP Top 25 of the 2016 college football season is coming out soon.
The season starts a month from today. The first Saturday of the season is Sept. 3.
When will the first college football AP Top 25 be released?
In about two and a half weeks.
The AP‘s national college football writer, Ralph D. Russo, tweeted today that the first AP Top 25 poll will come out on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. E.T.

The AP and USA TODAY polls have been deemed mostly irrelevant since the start of the College Football Playoff, which has its own committee that votes on its own poll. The College Football Playoff’s first poll won’t come out until much later in the season.
What will the first AP Top 25 look like?
Maybe something like this…

10. Notre Dame
Notre Dame has a question mark at quarterback, but the question is about who the starting QB will be, not will the quarterback be any good.
Whether it’s DeShone Kizer or Malik Zaire behind center for the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame’s offense will be in very good hands this fall.
Notre Dame will have multiple chances early to justify (and propel) its ranking, as Brian Kelly’s team opens the year at Texas and faces Michigan State in Week 3.
