Four-star defensive tackle Tyler Friday is set to announce his commitment.
Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep four-star defensive tackle Tyler Friday will reveal his commitment this Friday. Seems appropriate given his name.
Friday will choose from Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and others during a ceremony at Don Bosco at 2 p.m. Friday.
As the No. 3 defensive tackle in the 2018 class, he’ll be a good get for any of those schools.
However, he can only choose one, and all indications are that Friday will pick the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Friday officially visited Columbus in mid-November, and has been to Alabama and Michigan since then. However, the Buckeyes have remained the favorite for his services.
Just take a look at Friday’s 247Sports Crystal Ball. An overwhelming number of predictions are for OSU.
Ninety-one percent, to be exact.
Ohio State has recruited New Jersey well in recent years, landing players such as Jordan Fuller and Eli Apple. OSU is also in the running for four-star linebacker Javontae Jean-Baptiste out of Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic.
Here is a look at Ohio State’s current 2018 class.
