The Ohio State football program appears to be pretty good at developing the bodies of its players.
In late July, junior linebacker Joshua Perry posted a photo of Instagram detailing the transformation his body has had from the time he arrived on campus to the present. Perry, who entered Ohio State at 6-foot-4, 222 pounds, now weighs in at 253 pounds.
Perry’s teammate, junior defensive back Ron Tanner, has posted a similar photo.
Tanner has gained 21 pounds since he arrived in Columbus, quite an accomplishment for a defensive back. With Braxton Miller having to miss the 2014 season, Ohio State’s secondary–a weakness for the Buckeyes in 2013–will need to be solid come fall. Urban Meyer’s DBs seem to at least have the bodies needed to be successful.
