The AP Poll was released on Monday afternoon.
The preseason AP Poll was released on Monday afternoon, with Alabama taking the top spot heading into the 2017 campaign. Let’s take a look at how it differs from the Coaches’ Poll, which came out a few weeks back.
The top six teams, it turns out, are the same – Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, USC, Clemson and Penn State.
After that, there is some slight variation. Michigan, No. 9 in the Coaches’ Poll, is No. 11 in the AP Poll.
West Virginia is No. 20 in the Coaches’ Poll, while it’s No. 22 in the AP Poll.
The AP Poll includes one team – Washington State at No. 24 – that the Coaches’ Poll does not. Utah is No. 25 in the Coaches’ Poll – the Utes did not make the AP Poll.
