Today is the day that many Buckeye fans around the country have been waiting for: the Ohio State men’s basketball schedule for the upcoming season has officially been announced.
Thad Matta will try to lead his team to another Big Ten title, with the likes of Michigan State, Michigan, and Indiana also being a Big Ten title favorite.
The team lost two players from last year – Deshaun Thomas and Evan Ravenel. Luckily for Ohio State, the team returns plenty of talent, along with multiple recruits that will come in and try to contribute during their freshman year. LaQuinton Ross will try to fill the void and replace Thomas as the Buckeyes’ leading scorer.
With a stacked Big Ten schedule and three tough non-conference games – at Marquette, vs. Maryland, and vs. Notre Dame – the Buckeyes will have plenty of experience once March rolls around.
The most interesting matchups:
- 11/16 at Marquette
- 12/4 vs Maryland
- 12/21 vs Notre Dame
- 1/7 at Michigan State
- 2/1 at Wisconsin
- 2/11 vs Michigan
- 3/2 at Indiana
- 3/9 vs Michigan State
