Today was Student Appreciation Practice at Ohio State — students got the chance to come and see what the Buckeyes football team has to go through each and every day. It was a very eye-opening experience for some, particularly the famous mascot Brutus Buckeye.
Brutus decided he was going to get in on some of the action and take a few snaps, but he found out quickly why he roams the sidelines on a regular basis — while taking a snap at QB, he got absolutely leveled by linebacker David Perkins after trying to scramble across the middle. Brutus managed to get up after the hit, but left practice shaken up shortly after.
Here’s a video:
They did a practical joke at practice where Brutus caught a pass, but David Perkins hit him really hard. Knocked his head back.

Highlight from OSU’s practice was Brutus Buckeye being decimated by David Perkins. Brutus left practice shorty thereafter. Seriously.
