Realignment has caused more than a few problems for some of the nation’s biggest college football conferences. Even a few that have been successful and held it together through the tumultuous time – like the Big Ten and Big 12 – have marketing issues. We now live in a world where the Big Ten has 14 teams and the Big 12 has 10 teams. Sports fan or not, you can probably guess how many each had when they were founded.
As is usually the case on Jeopardy, when a college sports question was asked, nobody got the answer correct. One contestant, using logic, guessed that if the Big Ten is adding Maryland and Rutgers, it’d be at 12 teams now. You can’t really blame her.
