This might be a little too far.
Penn State hosts Michigan this weekend, and the game has huge implications for the Big Ten as well as the College Football Playoff. Naturally, fans are excited about hosting the marquee matchup of the weekend, but some Penn State students took their excitement too far with a pretty tasteless joke comparing Michigan’s QB situation to the ongoing water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Elevated lead levels in drinking water led to the deaths of 15 people in Flint, and while the water quality has supposedly returned to acceptable levels, citizens have been advised to continue to drink bottled or filtered water until the pipe replacement program is complete in 2020. It’s not really something to joke about.
