A Rutgers basketball recruiting graphic received considerable ridicule on Twitter Tuesday night.
The edit featured the amount of money players coached by the new Rutgers basketball staff have earned in the NBA. That’s always a great recruiting tool, except for one detail. The players featured in the graphic are all from UConn or Pittsburgh.

New Rutgers head coach Steve Pikiell had been a UConn assistant in the early 1990s, and associate head coach Karl Hobbs had two assistant coaching stints at UConn (1993-2001, 2012-16) bookending his tenure as head coach at George Washington. Another assistant, Brandin Knight, was a long-time member of the Pitt staff.
But while they all played a role in recruiting and coaching the players on the graphic, none of those guys at Rutgers. Many people were quick to point that out.

Yeah, this graphic probably had the best intentions, but the execution wasn’t good.
