The team ran into some trouble on the road.
On Friday afternoon Rutgers took the road to Penn State for a matchup between Big Ten East opponents.
The Scarlet Knights were forced to pull over when a tire on the team bus caught fire.
According to a report from PA Homepage, a state trooper was injured when the tire exploded as he tried to put out the flames.

A state trooper who arrived on the scene was injured trying to put out a fire, when a tire exploded in front of him. The bus driver says the trooper suffered minor injuries.
Luckily no one else was injured during the freak incident and Rutgers made it to Happy Valley later Friday night.
Penn State and Rutgers are scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. ET. kickoff.
