Saturday night, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan cut down the nets for the first time as his Badgers held off Arizona, 64-63, to win the West region of this year’s NCAA Tournament and reach the Final Four. Ryan, who has long been considered one of the best college coaches to never reach the game’s greatest stage, has been at Wisconsin since 2001.
The long-awaited celebration went into the wee hours of the night for most Badgers fans – including the Ryan family. One of Ryan’s daughters, Mairin, posted an incredible photo of the entire Ryan crew partying after the game. The “original starting 5” refers to Ryan’s five children – Mairin, Megan, Will, Matt and Brenna. His wife, Kelly, is also in the shot – she’s wearing the other “West Regional Champions” hat.

Needless to say, it was a very special moment for the family. But Wisconsin is just two wins away from what would surely be a much wilder celebration. Stay tuned.
