Carman fired back on Twitter.
Yesterday, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit called out Ohio State recruits who advocated for the Buckeyes to make a change at quarterback. One of the recruits who did just that was five-star offensive lineman Jackson Carman, the top player in Ohio.
Today, Carman found Herbstreit’s tweet about him, which did not mention him by name. In it, Herbstreit said he’s giving recruits this advice because he’s “trying to help them avoid issues on their future team.”
Here is Carman’s response.
Pretty sure I wouldn't have any problems in Dabo Swinney's or Clay Helton's locker room for my OPINION on OSU's qb issues. 🤔 https://t.co/FMVwGpAJ2J

Now, Herbstreit was referring to a recruit’s future team in general. But Carman appears to have taken it to mean he was only talking about Ohio State. Hence, Carman specifically mentioned Clemson and USC, the other two schools he is seriously considering.
Does this mean Carman is leaning toward leaving Ohio? It could, or perhaps he is just reminding people the Buckeyes aren’t his only option.
Either way, he isn’t shy about making his opinion known.
