The Bradenton, Flo., native chose to stay close to home, rather than choosing other top programs around the country. Clemson and USC offered Hightower and showed major interest in the 2018 prospect.
According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Hightower is the No. 6 wide receiver in the 2018 recruiting class. Hightower is also the No. 9 recruit in the state of Florida. Hightower had 32 offers in all, including offers from some of the best programs in the country — Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio State.
Hightower has the size and speed to make an immediate impact for Miami. He stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs in at just over 200 pounds. Mark Richt has put together a stellar 2018 recruiting class so far. The Hurricanes landed commitments from the nation’s No. 2 running back, Lorenzo Lingard, and the No. 4 quarterback in Arthur Sitkowski.
After the commitment of Brian Hightower, the Hurricanes are in for a spectacular 2018 recruiting class. Miami landed the No. 13 recruiting class in 2017. Mark Richt is off to a great start with his new school, since being fired by Georgia.
