Why’d Curtis Samuel decide to attend Ohio State?
There aren’t a lot of Ohio State football players from New York City. On the Buckeyes’ current roster, there are two – freshman safety Jahsen Wint and do-everything junior Curtis Samuel.
Samuel, a speedster out of Brooklyn, was a top 60 recruit in the 2014 class. He had scholarship offers from nearly everyone – Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, etc.
In a video for Ohio State, Samuel explained why he picked the Buckeyes.

Samuel has been Ohio State’s best offensive player this fall, totaling more than 600 yards rushing and more than 700 yards receiving. He has 13 total touchdowns.
Ohio State is set to take on Michigan State this Saturday. A big game from Samuel wouldn’t be a surprise.
