Here’s what he is predicting.
It is never too soon to look ahead to next college football season.
ESPN college football analyst Mark Schlabach did just that this morning, releasing 10 bold predictions for 2018. Included on the list were his four College Football Playoff teams.
Schlabach is picking Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma to reach the CFP next year. Here’s what he said:
Alabama won its fifth national title in nine seasons with Monday night’s 26-23 victory over Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T. Those teams seem to be on a collision course for the SEC championship game in 2018.

Even with a freshman quarterback, Clemson will join Alabama in the CFP. Two other teams with first-year quarterbacks — Oklahoma and Ohio State — will also make the four-team field.
As you can infer above, Schlabach also predicted Clemson five-star freshman Trevor Lawrence, not senior Kelly Bryant, will be the QB leading the Tigers to the CFP.
