The 82-year-old Stallings is reportedly hospitalized in Texas.
Legendary former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings suffered a “serious” heart attack on Friday night, according to Rick Karle of WRBC in Alabama.
Per Karle, Stallings has been transferred from a Paris, Tex. hospital to a Dallas-area one.
Doctors are optimistic today as they hope to wean the coach from his ventilator. Coach has been hanging tough through two strokes and now this. Coach Stallings’ wife Ruth Ann and family members are with him at this hour. Watch this space for updates. Please keep the coach in your heart!

The two strokes that Karle mentioned occurred in the summer, with one keeping Stallings from attending a speaking event.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Stallings and his family.
