A former Buckeye predicted if Ohio State would make the College Football Playoff.
Eli Apple took to Twitter to answer a litany of questions. Plenty of those questions had to do with former Ohio State teammates, or current New York Giants teammates and coaches. Apple picked Urban Meyer over Jim Tressel, and Ezekiel Elliott over Carlos Hyde.
But one fan asked Apple how the current Ohio State Buckeyes would fare in the 2017 season. The fan asked if the Buckeyes would make the College Football Playoff this year, after the team made it in 2016, although with a poor ending.
Here’s the question from the fan:

Of course, as an Ohio State alum, we should expect Apple to say that his former team will do well. However, Apple isn’t alone in picking the Buckeyes to make the Playoff this year. According to ESPN’s FPI, which is a computer model, Ohio State will finished the 2017 with the best record in college football.
The Buckeyes are the odds-on favorite to win the Big Ten, and compete for a spot in the Playoff.
