We are now seven weeks through the college football season and these 12 teams have quite the road ahead.
ESPN has figured out which 12 teams have the hardest remaining schedules in college football, using its Football Power Index (FPI) formula.
The FPI is ever-changing. Here’s a look at how it is measured.
The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.
According to ESPN, there are three ACC schools with extremely tough schedules left in the regular season. There are three schools out of the Big 12 and the SEC on the list while there are two from the Pac-12 and one from the Big Ten.
