The former Texas A&M quarterback has declared for the NFL Draft.
Kyle Allen, the former five-star quarterback recruit who transferred from Texas A&M to Houston, has declared for the NFL Draft.
This is a fairly surprising decision, considering Allen was benched a couple of games into the Cougars’ season.
Allen’s last start came on Sept. 23 against Texas Tech.
He announced his decision on Twitter.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point! Excited to see what God has in store for me 🙏🏼 pic.twitter.com/upez57T0cK

Allen spent two seasons at Texas A&M before transferring to Houston. He sat out the 2016 season and began the ’17 season as the Cougars’ starter, but was benched a couple of games into the season after being plagued with turnovers.
It’s unclear what Allen’s draft stock is.
