Here’s how much the Knights are paying out in national champion bonuses.
UCF has declared itself a national champion of the 2017 college football season after the Knights went 13-0 and beat Auburn in the Peach Bowl.
The Central Florida school is putting its money where its mouth is, too.
UCF athletic director Danny White announced on Twitter today that the school will be paying out national championship bonuses to its coaching staff, much of which is leaving for Nebraska with Scott Frost.
Here are the details of those bonuses, from USA TODAY:
According to associate athletics director for communications Andy Seeley, UCF is distributing an additional $300,000 to the nine on-field assistants and $25,000 to the support staff, which will be divvied up at the discretion of head coach Scott Frost, who is departing for Nebraska, with the approval of athletics director Danny White.
Good on UCF.
The Knights will also be raising a national championship banner, holding a parade and going to Disney World to celebrate its title.
