The former top recruit is working on a comeback.
Keyshawn Johnson Jr., a four-star wide receiver in the 2017 class, left Nebraska’s football program before his first season. The son of the NFL wide receiver got in trouble over the summer and his dad pulled him out of the school.
Mike Riley was a major reason why Johnson Jr. committed to the Huskers and his firing had some speculating about the wide receiver’s future in Lincoln.
The California native appears to be working on a comeback. He tweeted the following photo with a “Go Big Red” message.

Johnson Jr. was reportedly working on returning to Nebraska in January. It’s unclear if that is still the plan.
