Ohio State might end up losing two assistant coaches to Cincinnati.
Urban Meyer might have to replace multiple assistant coaches this offseason.
According to a report by Cincinnati.com, Ohio State assistant coach Luke Fickell is a top candidate for the Cincinnati head coaching job, and, if he’s hired, he might be bringing fellow Buckeye assistant Kerry Coombs with him to be his defensive coordinator.

Fickell seems to be ready for a head coaching job and bringing Coombs with him to be his defensive coordinator could be a great move. Coombs, a longtime high school coach in Cincinnati, has really strong ties to the area and has been one of OSU’s top recruiters in that part of the state.
One of Ohio State’s other defensive coaches, Greg Schiano, has been mentioned as a candidate for the South Florida job.
When you’re as good as Urban Meyer, replacing assistant coaches is a necessary pain.
