Micah Parsons, one of the nation’s top recruits, will be making big visits this weekend and next before settling on a school later this month.
The five-star defensive end out of Pennsylvania plans to take advantage of the new early signing day on December 20.
Before that, he’s going to see two of the schools he’s considering: Penn State, where he was once committed, and Georgia. They are the last two visits he’ll make.
He discussed both schools with Rivals:
“Honestly, I’m not really expecting anything other than bonding with the guys at Penn State,” he said. “I want to be with the people I’ll potentially be with for the next four years. That’s what I’m looking for, bonding time with the players and coaches. The coaches could have something different planned for this weekend and I’m sure that would be fun too.
“Kirby Smart is no joke,” Parsons said. “When I talked to him earlier this year he told me they were going to win the SEC and they were going to bounce back. He’s really brought that team up and he’s done what he said he would do. Freshmen do play early and location doesn’t matter to them. D’Andre Swift is playing as a freshman with Sony Michel and Nick Chubb there too. That’s really big. He’s behind two future NFL players. It just shows that if you go down there and work you can play.”
Parsons is the No. 4 player in the country, and the top Pennsylvania recruit and No. 2 defensive end in the country, per 247Sports. 88-percent of voters on the site’s crystal ball believe he will recommit to the Nittany Lions. He has also taken visits to Nebraska, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, though the Huskers and Buckeyes are believed to be out of the running.
