The Buckeyes’ quarterback commit appears to be headed to one of these two schools.
The recruitment of Emory Jones is likely to end this week.
The four-star dual-threat quarterback has been committed to Ohio State for a year and a half, though at this point, he appears likely to de-commit and flip to another school.
Alabama had been seen by many as the favorite to land Jones, a Georgia product, however two other schools have emerged – Florida and Florida State. Jones visited both Florida and Florida State this weekend. The Gators and the Seminoles have received predictions for him on 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Ohio State is reportedly still recruiting Jones and hopes to sign him, though the Buckeyes took a quarterback commitment earlier this month, a sign that they don’t seem confident in their chances to hold onto the 4-star.
Jones is set to sign this week and will be enrolling early at whichever school he choses.
