The Cowboys’ top assistant coach is out.
Oklahoma State announced some surprising coaching news today.
The Cowboys have fired defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer, who had been with the program since 2008.
Mike Gundy released the following statement on the decision.
“I’m very appreciate for the 10 years of loyal service that Glenn Spencer gave to Oklahoma State,” he says.

Spencer had served as Oklahoma State’s defensive coordinator since 2013. The Cowboys ranked 86th in the country in points allowed this past season, giving up 30.1 points per game.
