ESPN host Jason Fitz went on a rant against Clemson fans this week. One of the network’s former baseball analysts is disappointed.
Jason Fitz, one of the hosts for ESPNU’s “College Football Daily”, went on a rant this week about Clemson fans – suggesting that they’re “jerks” for the way they act on social media. Randomly, it looks like former ESPNer Peter Gammons, one of the best in the business when it comes to baseball coverage, is disappointed.
Gammons took to Twitter to call the rant an “embarrassment.” He didn’t mince words.
what an embarrassment to a profession and nwtwork so much a part of my life. Opinion without intelligence is road kill https://t.co/rzce6pOgrf

Here’s video of Fitz’s rant, if you haven’t seen it:
It’s a bit weird that Fitz went off on a certain team’s fan base – and it’s not something that ESPN probably wants to make a habit of. Perhaps Gammons has a point.
