Williams was ranked the No. 7 wide receiver and the No. 48 player in the 2015 recruiting class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He committed to Tennessee over Georgia and South Carolina, among other programs.
The talented wide receiver played as a true freshman in 2015, catching seven passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. An injury sidelined him for the second half of the ’15 season.
Williams’ best game this season came in the opener against Appalachian State, when he caught five passes for 45 yards. He caught just four passes over Tennessee’s next five games.
Tennessee is set to host Alabama on Saturday.
