Here’s the most-overrated team in ESPN’s new college football top 25 poll.
ESPN published its post-spring college football top 25 poll earlier this morning.
Ohio State overtook Alabama at the No. 1 spot and there were a couple of other shakeups high up in the poll.
Comparing this top 25 poll to ESPN’s Football Power Index rankings, one team inside the top 10 seems really overrated.
The most-overrated team, based on ESPN’s FPI, is Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys sit at No. 6 in ESPN’s new top 25 poll. In ESPN’s FPI, OSU is all the way down at No. 26. That’s a difference of 20 spots, which is by far the biggest of any team ranked inside the top 10.
Oklahoma State returns a lot of its key players and should be good this fall, but the FPI isn’t that high on them. It gives OSU just a 4.2 percent chance to win the Big 12.
