The conference bowl spots have switched.
A Big Ten team has been playing a new bowl game this season.
According to college football insider Brett McMurphy, some conference bowl spots have been switched.
This season, the Heart of Dallas Bowl will feature a Big Ten team against a Big 12 team.
Conference USA & Big Ten swap bowl spots; C-USA will now play in Armed Forces vs. Army (if eligible) & B1G in Heart of Dallas vs. Big 12

The Big Ten was contracted last year to have a team in the Heart of Dallas Bowl, but it ended up being Army vs. North Texas.
McMurphy reports that the change is only official for this year, though that could change.
It’s looking like the Big Ten will have 10-plus bowl eligible teams this season.
