Tommy Brown plays for prestigious Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, but the big four-star offensive tackle is taking his recruitment national.
Brown recently visited Cal and UCLA, but he tells Scout that he has trips planned all over, to the Midwest, Northwest, and of course, the Southeast.
Among the schools that Brown wants to visit over the next few months: Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Oregon, and Washington.
“Over spring break, me and my quarterback J.T. (Daniels) are going to Auburn to meet the coaches. Auburn is a new offer so I want to visit there and see how it is out there,” said Brown. “We’re also going to go visit Alabama while we’re down there and I’m looking forward to that.
“I’m going up to Washington to visit with the coaches. I haven’t talked with the new offensive line coach (Scott Huff) yet. I was talking with Coach (Chris) Strausser and he went silent, but now I know why. So hopefully I’ll get to meet with Coach Huff,” said Brown. “Then I’m going to Oregon for their spring game.”
Brown also mentions Michigan as a top school for him, and one that he’d like to get out to.
247Sports‘ composite rankings have Brown ranked No. 10 in the state of California and No. 9 among offensive tackles for the class of 2018. The big 6-foot-7, 315 pound tackle won’t have much issue gaining attention during this recruiting cycle.
