Ohio State’s head coach wasn’t in Columbus this afternoon.
Every Monday of the football season, Urban Meyer meets with the media at noon at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Ohio State’s head coach talks with reporters about the previous game and what’s to come.
Meyer wasn’t at the WHAC today, though.
An Ohio State spokesman revealed that the Buckeyes’ head coach was visiting with the family of an unnamed Buckeyes’ player. The family is dealing with a serious health issue, per the OSU spokesman.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer's press conference was canceled today so he could be with a player whose family is dealing with a health issue.

Meyer is expected to be back in Columbus later this afternoon.
Ohio State is set to play at Nebraska on Saturday night.
The Buckeyes enter Saturday night’s contest in Lincoln, Neb. as a 24-point favorite against the Huskers. Nebraska hasn’t been that big of an underdog at home in decades.
The contest will kick off at 7:30 p.m. E.T. on Fox Sports 1.
