The Buckeyes’ linebackers played poorly against Iowa but rebounded against Michigan State.
Urban Meyer didn’t hold back when talking about his linebackers after Ohio State’s blowout loss to Iowa.
“This past week was not good at all,” he said.
The Buckeyes’ linebackers rebounded this past weekend, playing a major part in limiting Michigan State to just 3 points in the blowout win.
Ohio State was without two of its starting linebackers – Jerome Baker and Dante Booker – in the win over MSU, forcing Meyer and his coaches to evaluate the position moving forward. Tuf Borland and Malik Harrison started in their places and both played well.
Meyer admitted they’ll be talking about the position this week, possibly deciding on a change or two.
“That’s the conversation we’re having right now,” he told reporters Monday.
Ohio State and Illinois are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m E.T. on ABC.
