Ohio State and Michigan are rivals on the field, but the Buckeyes and the Wolverines are rivals on the recruiting trail, too.
Here’s what scholarship offers from the two programs look like, and how they differ:
The letters are extremely similar, both in look and feel, but there are some differences:
- Ohio State makes sure to point out its 2014 national championship very early on, while Michigan doesn’t specifically refer to any recent accomplishments in the text of the letter.
- The Wolverines, though, have all of their achievements pointed out in bold at the bottom of the letter. Ohio State doesn’t list out anything like that.
- Michigan’s is more about exclusivity, “It takes an extraordinary young man…”
