Here are some schools that make sense for the Longhorns’ transfer.
Jordan Elliott is leaving Texas.
The talented defensive lineman announced on Snapchat today that he’s decided to transfer out of the Longhorns’ program.
Elliott, a Houston native, was one of the top recruits in the country coming out of high school in 2016. He was ranked the No. 14 defensive tackle and No. 115 player in the class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
What schools could be in contention to land the elite transfer?
A couple seem to make sense, though no potential destinations have been reported.
- Michigan: Elliott was committed to Michigan before de-committing and pledging to the Longhorns. Perhaps he regrets that decision and will give another strong look at Jim Harbaugh’s program.
- Tennessee: The Volunteers played a big role in Elliott’s recruitment coming out of high school.
- Houston: The hometown program will likely receive some consideration.
Where do you see him ending up?
