Memphis’ basketball program is not in good shape.
There are disaster offseasons and then there’s the offseason Memphis’ basketball program has had so far.
The Tigers lost most of their best players to transfer – one of whom was caught on Snapchat shouting a profanity-laced message to Tubby Smith – and Wednesday, they lost a recruit to a Division II program.
Matt Stanley, a potential Tigers’ target, apparently chose attending Division II Ouachita Baptist over Memphis.

Memphis went 19-13, 9-9 in conference this past season.
The 2017-18 season could be much rougher.
