Armando Bacot, one of the top power forwards in the class of 2019, has dozens of offers, but seven schools are working the hardest.
247Sports ranks Bacot, a Richmond, VA native, as the No. 26 player in his class.
He is slotted in at No. 7 among 2019 power forwards and is the top player in Virginia.
On Tuesday, he picked up his biggest offer yet: Duke. He has the Blue Devils included in the seven teams that are recruiting him hardest, and discussed that list with D1Vision:
“I know that Duke is a great program,” said Bacot. They have arguably the greatest coach of all-time. I like Duke because of the history and their coach, Coach [Mike Krzyzewski].”
Bacot, who currently holds nearly 40 offers, told D1Vision that Duke, Kansas, Oklahoma State, VCU, Villanova, UCLA, and Virginia Tech are the schools working the hardest for his recruitment.
Bacot also holds offers from Clemson, Florida State, Iowa, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, and many others.
So far, all four voters in 247Sports’ crystal ball believe he will be a Blue Devil. We have plenty of time until the 2019 prospect has to decide, though.
