The Blue Devils’ latest commit is the best HS basketball recruit in a while, according to most.
Duke landed a commitment from the best high school basketball recruit in the country on Monday night.
Marvin Bagley, the No. 1 player in the 2018 class, is re-classifying to 2017 and will be playing for the Blue Devils this upcoming season. Most recruiting services instantly made him the top prospect in the ’17 class. He’s believed to be the frontrunner for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Some recruiting analysts believe Bagley, a versatile 6-foot-10 forward, is the best high school basketball recruit in five-plus years.
Marvin Bagley III is arguably the best prospect to come out of high school basketball since Anthony Davis in 2011.

3 best prospects I've seen in my 11 years in the business. Durant, A. Davis, Bagley.

Definitely Bagley. Best prospect since Anthony Davis

With the addition of Bagley, Duke has been vaulted to No. 1 in nearly everyone’s preseason top 25s.
The Blue Devils are now the favorite to win it all according to Las Vegas’ sportsbooks, too.
