Fran Belibi, a 6-foot-1 sophomore star for Regis Jesuit, made Colorado basketball history on Friday night.
During a 78-23 win over Grand Junction, Belibi intercepted a pass at mid-court and threw down a thunderous dunk in transition, making her the first girl in state history to dunk in a game. And she truly made it look easy.
The slam earned her a No. 1 spot on SportsCenter’s top plays, and plenty of viral attention around the sports corner of the internet.
According to CHSAA Now, Belibi averages 18 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game for the Raiders as a 15-year old. In other news, Geno Auriemma just booked a first class ticket to Denver.
