Jalen Carey, a New York City native who stars at New Jersey’s Immaculate Conception, has three schools locked in for official visits over the next few weeks.
Three of those schools—Miami, UConn, and Syracuse—will be hosting the floor general very soon.
Coming down the stretch with his college recruitment, Carey has set up three official visits.
· Miami: August 25
· UConn: August 30
· Syracuse: September 8
Things remains in the works for an official visit to Kansas as Villanova and Rutgers jostle for his last trip.
247 ranks Carey No. 11 among all point guards, and No. 4 in the state of New York.
He also holds offers from Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, and Texas, among others.
247’s crystal ball is split on his future. Only five votes are in, with two a piece going to Kansas and Syracuse, and one going to Seton Hall. Given the fact that the Pirates are not in his top six, that doesn’t seem very likely.
Update: Carey is also heading to Kansas. He’ll check out the Jayhawks on September 29, per an updated version of the Rivals article, which leaves one visit for either Rutgers or Villanova.
