Ball and two other UCLA players were arrested in China.
LiAngelo Ball, the younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, and two other UCLA players, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, were released on bail early Wednesday morning in Hangzhou, China.
The three were arrested at their hotel on Tuesday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting.
According to a report from ESPN, Ball, Hill, and Riley were questioned about stealing from a Louis Vuitton store next to the team’s hotel in Hangzhou.

“The players were treated with the utmost respect, kindness and professionalism at all times by the Hangzhou police,” the source, who had firsthand knowledge of the release, told ESPN. “The players questioned were respectful at all times. None of this was confrontational.”
All three were released around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning and are being required to stay at a hotel in Hangzhou until the legal process is over.
The Bruins were set to play Georgia Tech Friday night in Shanghai.
