The Tar Heels’ guard limped off the court early in today’s game against Kentucky.
North Carolina junior guard Joel Berry appears to have re-injured his ankle.
Berry has been dealing with a sore ankle during the NCAA Tournament and appeared to tweak it early during today’s game against Kentucky.
He limped off the court and was getting treated by trainers.
According to reporters, he’s now heading to the locker room in tears.

CBS’ Tracy Wolfson updated the initial report, saying it appeared Berry’s left ankle was the one injured. It was his right ankle that got hurt earlier in the tournament.

North Carolina leads Kentucky, 16-11, with about 12 minutes left in the first half.
Update: Whatever they did in the locker room worked. Berry has returned to the game and missed only a couple of minutes of game action.
